United Cranberry Growers Cooperative is an agricultural co-op of independent cranberry growers. Our mission is to:
United Cranberry Growers Cooperative began in June 2010 in Wisconsin. We invite all independent cranberry growers world-wide to join us and work together for a strong, vibrant, cranberry industry.
Initially, we intend to:
Establish a seal of approval for those products containing significant cranberry content. Research is completed as to a definition of what constitutes content and will be published by our researchers in the near future. Then, we intend to work with the interested bottlers to display our seal of content, or approval, supported by a media campaign and website.
Implement supply strategy programs with an emphasis on "right-sizing" the supply to meet the current and future industry demand, without chronically over or under supplying the industry, which we all know leads to wild price-swings in grower prices.
Bargain for the price of our crop by negotiating with handlers a field price for our annual crop. Our goal is for handlers to partner with us as responsible providers of cranberries with a reasonable supply and stable prices.
